Mátrafüred 2022 International Conference on Chemical Sensors

With much anticipation after a one-year delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Mátrafüred International Conference on Electrochemical Sensors was held June 12-17, 2022, in Visegrád, Hungary. This issue of Electroanalysis includes collection papers first presented at this meeting, which now has 50 year long history as leading conference electroanalytical chemistry and chemical biosensing. Once again, provided many opportunities to bring together researchers from electrochemical, physical, environmental, life sciences, evident also list invited speakers: Robbyn Anand (Iowa State Univ.), Eric Bakker (Univ. Geneva), Johan Bobacka (Åbo Akademi Philippe Bühlmann Minnesota), Daniel Citterio (Keio Justin Gooding New South Wales), Róbert Gyurcsányi (Budapest Univ. Technology Economics), Lisa Hall Cambridge), Chuck Henry (Colorado Tony James Bath), Klaus Koren (Aarhus Serge Lemay Twente), Peter Lieberzeit Vienna), Tom Lindfors Mandler (Hebrew Jerusalem), Agata Michalska Warsaw), Karin Mölling Zürich), Frieder Scheller Potsdam), Joseph Wang California San Diego). Not surprisingly, presentations posters covered very wide range topics. Approaches that were discussed included mainframe clinical analyzers, point-of-care devices, wearable sensors, bioelectronic assays for detection infection, name few. High selectivities sensitivities achieved, one hand, using nanocapacitor arrays, nanopipettes, microfluidic systems, electrokinetic enrichment, single molecule fluorescence, photoluminescence, nanooptodes, and, other employing ionophores, engineered proteins, nanozymes, aptamers, molecular nanoparticle imprinting. Solid-contact ion-selective electrodes continued attract attention, with special focus term stabilities reproducibility.
